That's what I was thinking. Even if they're not coaching him presently, they've brainwashed him entirely. They've probably made the father out to be a real jerk. I feel bad for the father...and the child.

Agree!! There is reserved space in hell for people like that who would try & turn a child against his father for no good reason

It's disgusting what they're doing to this little boy. I have to agree with what's been said here, that he is definitely brainwashed.
I feel so bad for his father.

He's just showing his loyalty. Any thinking person realizes he has to be torn. Dad isn't present so He states his loyalty to those he has known for all these years.
What scum they are to make him choose. Who would even ask such a thing? Of course he loves the people that have been raising him, My foster families were torturing me and abusing me horribly and still got me to say similar sorts of things for DYFS and doctors alike. This stunt is abuse, and a sign that they are flailing because they now thinnk they are losing.

This issue is about him having been kidnapped and taken away from his father. How he "feels" about the people that have fed and clothed him and acted like family to him is irrelevant, they are defacto kidnappers thus his "feelings" about them are distorted. I think it is called Munchausen's Syndrome by proxy. He may not even realize he is a kidnap victim.

Drawing pictures of only the non-blood related relatives makes me really sad. Since the boy has not seen his father for many years, the relatives allowed the boy to forget his past life. He no longer has his father in his heart and that does hurt immensely. =.=

The boy should be with his father........ period!! I agree that they are brainwashing the child and when he is older and understands (if he does remain in Brazil) he will know how deeply his father fought for him and may resent his step-father for holding him back. JMO
