The recycling is picked up by the township and they supply the can. The sellers should leave you info for that and here is a link to the Hazlet website General Info

You have to hire a private company for regular garbage. We use Midco and they pick up 2x a week. Shorelands is the water company and the electric is JCP&L. Make sure you arrange to have the utilities all switched to your name so you don't get a break in service. Welcome to Hazlet!

Thanks for all the information. Glad to finally be moving into Hazlet. I am so glad the house hunting process is over.

Sorry to threadjack, but we're also due to close on a house in Hazlet next month. Does anyone know if the schools have some sort of before/after care program in place? I have a 5 year old, and my husband and I both work...and his shift rotates by 8 hours weekly, so many days I am the only person available to get him to/from school/daycare...

My daughter joined AM2PM Childcare Learning Center since she was a toddler. If you have younger children, give them a call at 732-264-3200. Excellent and highly recommended. Very affordable early learning programs. Located at 1000 Route 36 in Hazlet or AM2PM Childcare Learning Center 732-264-3200 Best Childcare/Preschool/Kindergarten/Summer Camp/Nursery, Hazlet/Holmdel/Middletown/Matawan/Aberdeen/Keansburg/Union Beach/Keyport Monmouth County. Glad I could help!
