Hmmm...I remember a case from hmm maybe 20 years ago
Day care teacher, I can't even recall her name but I think it happened in Maplewood all sorts of totally ludicrous allegations of child abuse and molestation, she spent over 5 years in prison...verdict overturned and decided not to go to trial again as it came out many of the children were coerced into what they said.

The allegations were so absurd it was easy for anyone with half a brain to see a witch hunt going on

I just remembered her name:

PompLks is on a distinguished road
It's a shame this thread has become a battleground over MJ's guilt or innocence. (remember a gold digging mom and dad can brainwash their kid- and in america we're innocent until proven guilty)
He surely was a weird guy, and could have done with more psychological help than I think he got.

But......

He combined fantastic dance skills and lyric and music writing abilities with hard work and determination.

He sold 3/4 of a billion albums!! (With MP3's and the computer age this will never happen again!)

He crossed political and racial boundaries to find his fans - case in point a memorial sand sculpture in india to honor him. (yes make jokes about how he crossed races himself, ha ha very funny)

His musical message was one largely of peace and love.

I'm 32 years old....which would go a long way in explaining why I'm a fan of MJ's music (if not always of his conduct). If your my age or slightly older - then you lived the Michael Jackson of the 80's - and can understand. I suspect that we have a large population of younger folks on here who wouldn't be able to appreciate the music/dancing. (try jumping up onto your toes just once like he did every concert!)

Either way he's dead guys, and although he will never be regarded as a perfect angel (as with princess diana) this would be the time to respect the enormity of his accomplishments, the broad range of his music - and if you're like me - reflect on what more he might have accomplished as he began working on a new tour and entering the music world again. RIP MJ

They did not say he donated the Pepsi money; so I don't know how true that is.

They said that he used to be in the same room as his brothers; his brothers used to bring girls in and have sex next to him. They also said his father cheated on the mother in front of the kids. When he went home they had to lie for him or something like that.

The 1st album he put out on his own didn't do too well, the next Thriller did. He always tried to top Thriller but couldn't; they said he slipped away with each failure. Some felt it was an act, the glove, the mask, the animals; then eventually he regressed into a 10 year old.

Did he molest kids?
Honestly I have no clue.
I remember the last trial and how they raided his house and found things that aren't normal. He & Corey Feldman who used to be close were not after Corey testified about a book he was shown.
Jackson will have to answer to his maker.

When Micheal grew up, it was a totally different time. Most of us have stories to tell; yet we have to keep going and move on. Many of us watched a parent cheat. Many of us got hit when we were bad.
Well, Off the Wall was the first solo album and it was huge and won Grammy's - so maybe the rest of the documentary was not too accurate either....

Ok, ok...I'll leave the guy alone. I'm not so sure the accusations were true either. But I also believe in giving the "child" the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise but that never happened as the people were paid off before it ever went to court. I guess we'll never know the truth?
I used to give children the benefit of the doubt all the time, but then I volunteered to work with abused children. Then you find out how many false accusations are made. Or "displaced" accusations, like they accuse a friend's dad, (someone they actually like) because their own father is molesting them and they don't want to "rat" on dad. I've seen a lot of horrible things. A child who freely (without provocation from a parent, say in a custody battle) accuses someone of abuse is usually abused, but they don't always accuse the guilty party. I've seen so many sad stories, but some of the sad stories are adults who were falsely accused and had their lives forever ruined. Maybe that's why I'm more open minded on this topic.
