Default Long Valley Info...

Hey there!! I know there are a few members out there who live in Long Valley, Tahiti are you there????? Anyway my family and I have recently (Wednesday) moved from FL to Long Valley, so far I love it here. Being new to the area, I am kind of at a loss of things to do, especially for the 4th of July. Are there any fireworks displays? We usually have a BBQ with friends so I am trying to make it as fun as I can for my kids. Also can anyone reccommend a dentist ( for both kids and adults), a peditrician and a good family dr for adults. Any info would be great, Thanks!!!

Hi,

Dr. Guerra of College Pediatrics in Randolph is great. Dr. Liegner in Hackettstown is a great dentist for adults and kids.

I think the middle school had fireworks last night. Look at the weekend section of the local papers like Courier News, Star Ledger and Daily Record for things to do July 4th.

Lucy

I highly recommend my dentist. He's not in Long Valley, but close by in Flanders, Dr. Elliot Rand.

you made the move! congrats, hope you continue to enjoy it.

my kids go to flanders pediatric dentistry, and I go to Dr. Bryant in Flanders (he lives in LV and kids go to school here)...my husband and I started to go to Dr. Bryant when we lived in Flanders and saw no need to change.

For pediatricians, my boys go Dr. Aygen(s) (2 of them) in Chester. We started off with the Dr. who used to own the practice. He passed away and the Aygens took over. We've been pleased.

You just missed the fireworks, they were on the 27th.

As far as things to do, there are parks (Rock Spring and Schooley's Mtn), you can go to Hackettstown Pool, and Clearview Cinemas usually has a free movie day during the summer (I'm too lazy to check right now, but look on their website, the theatre is in Mansfield/Hackettstown). LV has day camps that run from 9-12pm if you want to check that out. Also the library probably has some stuff going on.

If you like sledding, Schooley Mountain has perhaps the best sledding spot in NJ. We make the 30-40 minute drive up there at least 1-2 times each winter; I usually bring my son (he's now 15) and 1-2 of his friends and we have a blast.
