Default Creek Point apartment complex in Middletown?

Does anyone know anything about this complex? I found it listed as a pet-friendly complex. I've done some research looking for reviews, and so far I've seen only one who said it was the worst place she ever lived.

That in itself won't deter me, but I want to know HOW bad.

Here's my situation: I've been paying a high rent ($2200) for a house in Bergen County because I work in Manhattan and didn't want to move my daughter out of her high school. She graduated last week.

I also have cats.

I am moving into an apartment-sharing situation paying $600 for the room while I save some money. However, one of the roommates used to live with me and my daughter and I had to ask her to leave because she's an alcoholic. I know what I'm getting myself into since I've lived with her before but I figure I can deal because it won't be affecting my kid anymore. I just don't know how long I'm going to be able to stand living with her and am searching for other cheap options where I can keep my cats and live in poverty for a while.

I have a great job and good salary, just nothing saved because of paying high rent for four years.

I guess the question is, would this Creek Point place be bearable on a temporary basis, six months to a year?

I don't have any first hand experience with the Creek Point complex, but be aware that the complex is actually in Keansburg and not Middletown. It's actually on the Keansburg/Hazlet border. It is listed as Middletown on all of the online rental sites because that sounds a lot better than saying it is actually in Keansburg.

You can do a search on here for more info about Keansburg and I won't imagine that it is very pretty. If you are looking in the Middletown/Red Bank area for a rental, I'd imagine you can find other reasonable pet-friendly accommodations, but I don't know of any personally.

Thank you, tommccabe, and yes, I've already read up on Keansburg on this forum and I hear what you are saying. Thanks for the heads up.
