Echo Lake Country Club (how much, clubs, budget)

My husband and I have recently moved to westfield, NJ and have been interested in information on the echo lake country club. when i called, they stated that i had to get information from a member only and they could not get me any info at all. Anyone know about how much a membership is there per year? do they accept social memberships? just doing preliminary research to know if it is within our budget! thanks!

From my understanding it's an 'Irish" country club.

I seem to recall the entrance bond being somewhere around $30K or so? Not sure what the annual fees are.

You need a sponsor (by a member)that is what they mean.

Many country clubs in this economy are hungry for members and will take anyone who inquires and can pay the fees. This isn't one of them. You have to know a current member who will sponsor you. Ask around though. Maybe in someone in management at work, your doctor/dentist/lawyer, etc. is a member or knows one. I've played there once or twice, great course.

thanks, guys. i called the club and they wouldn't give me ANY information. They just said that i had to find a member and speak to them to get information. I will ask around. Thank you!
