Sorry you are missing the point. 2003 is a recent open for an area as established as CH. GSP will have suitable options for people living in that area. Whether they are chains or not makes no difference. McCormick & Schmick's is technically considered an upscale restaurant and it is the only the 3rd location in the entire state.

ALL CHAINS expect for the pizza place (Don't consider a 3-4 location place a chain) And none of those options are good. Well Wegmans can be fun for a quick bite. But really it is sad that better places didn't get into that shopping center.

Reading this list makes me want to vomit all over my keyboard...
Frickin' chains

Not missing your point at all. You used bad wording and I called you out on it. No big deal.
I don't care how established the area is the phrase "just opened" in reference to a store that opened 6 years ago is bad wording on your part.
I live in the GSP area and those "chains" are NOT suitable options for me and hence make a difference.

You just don't know anything commercial real estate. What I said is accurate. I also said there's a lot of non-chain restaurants in CH in addition to all the chains. I agree there are a lot of chains, but that cannot be prevented.

What does my knowledge on commercial real estate have to do with you using bad wording? I see no correlation there.
I never argued that there was not non-chain restaurants in CH. I just said that in GSP it is all chains.

Then you would know that something opened as recently as 6 years ago is still considered recently opened. Happens all the time, no sweat, don't get so excited.

If 6 years ago makes it recently opened, does that mean that a store opened say 3 years ago is still considered brand new? should they keep their "Grand Opening" banner up still? You gotta be kidding me by suggesting that a 6 y/o store is considered recently opened.
I'm in marketing and I never heard of such a thing.

Each market is different. In CH, something under 3 years is definitely brand new. In Charlotte or Atlanta, it would definitely not be brand new.
