Property taxes do not apply to rent.

Only those who own property pay property tax. Renters do not pay property tax, although of course some of the rent you pay probably goes toward the owner's tax bill so indirectly you pay.

Yea that movie is stupid, I watched it thinking they was going to show Cherry Hill and what I see is a big mountain range with a White Caste at the bottom when in reality Cherry Hill is flat as a pan. This is how stereotypes develop.
Hey didn't they originally leave from Harold's apartment in JC ? Then they went to Princeton and then Cherry Hill?

OK, Cherry Hill may not be Hawaii or San Francisco, but here's what you DON'T have to worry much about: tornadoes, earthquakes, big floods, heavy smog, blistering heat/humidity all summer, brutal winters, extreme traffic with choked freeways, scary crime, being-in-the-middle-of-nowhere, $700K starter houses.
And, you've got easy access to Philly by car or train (Philly is really underrated as a city.) Yeah, property taxes are high (but a lot cheaper than North Jersey for an equivalent house), but they're not much higher than, say, the DC suburbs. And NJ income taxes are on the low side, so that compensates somewhat. Overall, it's a very comfortable place to live with fairly priced real estate, but not boring or isolated either. So I respectfully disagree that it is a cesspool, an mentioned earlier.

Cherry Hill is a community that is respected because it's large and has very strong schools.
However, I think many of the people in this town are a bit snobby and downright rude. I've been familiar with this town for 30 years and I just feel many of the residents (especially the area that sends their kids to Ch East High School) believe they live in the best town in America and no one can tell them different.
All you have to do is go to their supermarkets and shop with some these people. For example you'll find yourself being bumped and reached past (without one ""excuse me) all over the Shoprite off of Evesham and Springdale roads. You'll go to other local stores in CH and get the same thing. I live in Voorhees so when I drive home I'm coincidentally behind these people and I see them turn off in their developments so I can't blame it on out-of-towners. By the way Voorhees is the same rude way too. I favor going to the Moorestown, Mount Laurel, and Delran areas when it comes shopping.
I have to comment about Buca di Beppo "just opening", thought it was a bit funny. I remembered when I first started dating my now wife(like a month in to the relationship), my sister told me about that restaurant. Almost 3 years after she told us we got married. Now we're approaching our 2nd anniversary in a month...so to me Buca di Beppo has been around for a while.

I find your observation curious. I am not criticizing you. I went to that supermarket last week for the first time in quite a while. I asked a couple of shoppers questions about things in the store. I found them conversational and generous with their time. Maybe I was lucky. When people are rude to me, sometimes I just let it pass...and sometimes I drop a quart of coleslaw on their shoes.
