Eh, Obama doesn't care. He'll win NJ in 2012 no matter what. If he does so poorly that he loses NJ, that means he's lost the election anyway since ALL the swing states would have gone red. Plus, Obama's numbers are going down. It's better to take a popularity hit during a down trend rather than when you might be rebounding in the future.

On another note - who actually plans on attending a rally for Jon Corzine? Unless they're giving away free beer or something, that sounds like pretty much the most boring event in the state that day. I think there's a paint-drying festival somewhere I'd rather attend.

I'd rather go to that than a Christie rally. You know for sure there won't be any free food at a Christie rally, because the fatso will eat it all himself!

I don't think it's last on "GiantRutgersFan"'s list of priorities, unless his screen name is a misnomer. And I know many of my friends who are my fellow alumni consider Rutgers a high priority. Of course, most of the in-state Rutgers haters (you sound like one) don't care at all about Rutgers, and would rather see Rutgers cut off from all sorts of funding, and Christie's just the fat man to do that job.

Maybe he can do what John Kerry did in Wisconsin, and have Bruce Springsteen wheeled out to perform a couple of perfunctory versions of his greatest hits.

Set list:
"Robbin' Pete to Pay Paul"
"Socialist Hero"
"Million Dollar Pony"
"The Ballad of Rahm"
"Limousine Liberal Blues"
"O Marx the Spot"
"I Can Feel It in the Ayers"
"Wright's Not Wrong"
"My Best Friend's a Slumlord"
"Ain't Born in Hawaii"
"Michelle's a Man (That's What I Hear)"
"Patti Took Half"

funding for the state colleges has been getting slashed and tuition has been rising dramatically at all state colleges.

Although to Corzine's credit, he just signed a law into effect which says tuition can not rise more then 3% a year at state colleges (Although we will see whether "fee's" will rise instead).

At this point, this will hurt Obama more than it'll help Corzine

I'm not a Rutgers hater. I really have no opinion on the institution aside from the fact that it seems they waste a ton of money, year after year. If you'd like to donate money to Rutgers, good for you, but to me it seems like a bloated state facility where large amounts of money can be wasted under the guise of education.

Well, that added a touch of sophisticated insight to the political discourse.

Learn that debating style at Rutgers?

Corzine is just not a good governor. Obama does not need to be meddling around in NJ's election.

Hopefully the ObamaManiacs can use their brains and think outside of party lines for once.
I am not a Corzine fan... but I have to see if Christie will be any better... because frankly, I don't have a whole lot of hope for the state as a whole with either as of now.

Open mind. Without a doubt.

One thing though, it ALWAYS helps to have your party in control in Washington - just how it works. And Obama stumping for Corzine. It's been said before here, Corzine is not super, but he's not as awful as you guys make him out to be either... he's not mcGreevy, he's had no major scandals... he's not the anti-Christ as we all know by now that was Dick Cheney. LOL

BTW... I hear Palin will be stumping for Christie
