Thoughts on Adult Movie houses and/or bookstores (2009, condo)

We have one near us. My husband and I went there for a laugh once. I think to each his own, these places aren't hurting me. If people want to go there they should. There are many other things there besides movies.

whats there? im not aware of any of these places. i think there was something i passed on rt 9 on my way to work but now theres this prime pool hall and comedy club thing there.

Generally speaking, they are places where men go to "have relations" with each other. Not speaking from personal experience, I just happen to know this. There's one in the town next to ours. The parking lot is constantly full. I drove by one morning at 10:45 and there had to be 12 cars in the parking lot.

As many others have pointed out, there's no reason for places like this to exist with everything available online.

These don't bother me. They usually don't have windows and the "activity" stays inside. Nothing dirty is shown or happening in the public view.

Oh, come on, guys. Some of you act like it's the equivalent to cooties when you were 5.

Sure, some look nastier than others, and some I wouldn't step foot into...but heck, I think most of us are adults, and can say that we should be able to handle anything in an adult store without going "Teehee, he put it where?! EW! *giggle*".

I have nothing against them, as long as the staff keep track of who is going in/out, with proper identification, and keep out what gives the clerk a bad feeling (or call the cops, when and if necessary).

It's not really any different than looking at the stuff online - the only part that IS different, is that you don't have to worry about someone seeing you. And, even if they do, so what? I can almost guarantee that they have been in an adult store of some sort, once or twice in their lives....and if they really make that big of a deal of it - then they themselves are pretty immature.

For some reason the Rt 35 corridor from Eatontown to Asbury Circle has a couple of adult book stores and go go bars. The massage parlor was raided in Oakhurst and closed down due to prostitution.

Ok if you have never been to a porn shop and you are afraid of it than just drive by and pretend it's not there hahaha I've worked at a porn shop, and all types of people into all types of things go there.
It was one of the funnest jobs I've ever had. If you don't get it, that's cool cuz we didn't want u there anyways:P
