PC Richards opens first store in SJ.
In Mount Laurel. Though I don't know why anyone would shop at these electrics/appliance stores when you can get everything cheaper on the net. But pretty cool. It's in the same location Circuit City in Eastgate.

I am shocked PC Richards is still in business! I have only been there once in my lifetime to buy a DVD player and have it price matched. I remember they gave me such a hard time - talked to about 3 sales people. I cant remember if they honor it or not.
But yes, I agree. Buy all this stuff online for much cheaper.

That's fine just get the model number and shop it online. I know years ago these stores refused to price match prices found online. I don't know if that's changed or not.

the question is how many south jersey people are aware of PC Richards as they advertise on NY Media unless they bought time on Philly stations and most people in Monmouth and Ocean county watch NY stations and are familar with PC Richards
Another note Sixth ave electronics opened a store in Suburban Philly as most of the stores in the NY area

I'm in Ocean County and mainly watch the Philadelphia stations, but sometimes when I have an NYC station on I see their ads. I've always thought of it as a New York store, so they definitely need to get the word out here.
6th Ave. also opened an absolutely beautiful store in Brick and I really believe there is NO better place to buy higher-end electronics. The prices are nothing short of amazing and they seem to serve customers very well. I bought an LCD TV there as well as a Nikon SLR camera and both were good experiences.

They will do Sunday circular advertising that's it. I'm familiar with them but I lived in the NJ/NYC metro area for several years. Honestly, any of those NY chains have a bad image since Crazy Eddie blew up. I don't trust PC Richards, 6th Ave, etc., for deals. None of them have a good reputation. IMO they will rip you off given the opportunity and sell you restocked and defective items as new push the extended warranty on you and then claim you got the lowest price. There are a lot of consumer complaints against both companies. Doesn't matter to me since I shop on the net. I think anyone buying any piece of electronics in a store, like HDTVs, stereo components, computers, etc., is nuts. I get the best deals whenever I shop and it is not difficult.

Consumer complaints about P.C. Richard & Son

strange.... I've purchased alot of things from them, from HD cameras to a fridge. I have no complaints, and prefer to use them if they can match the best price. Maybe my local store is better then some of the other ones.
