Default East brunswick Rent leveling?

Does anyone know what the max % a landlod can increase the rent from 1 year/lease term to the next?

I know EB has a rent leveling board, so there must be some % cap.

Thank you.

This is only effective in rent stabilized buildings which to my knowledge are not in East Brunswick. There might be rent stabilization in the lower income buildings (very few exist here) but that is a totally different story. Basically in East Brunswick, if you are renting from a private landlord (most rentals in EB), there is no law stating how much they can raise or lower the rent. It is entirely up to the landlord. Of course you always have the right to walk away if desired at the end of the lease. Hope this helps. Good luck!
