I would look for some place where you might as well get to a beach closeby.
I saw some places for rent around Sea Bright along or just off that Ocean Dr or whatever its called there last year.
There also is Monmouth U nearby and Brookdale College.

A friend hooked me up with a buddy of his who is looking to move around the same time that I am.
This guy already has a place picked out (2 bed), owned by a long-time friend who would be giving us a break on rent.
The place is month-to-month for as long as we want it, $700/person + utilities.
Here is where it is:
21st St & Palisade Ave, Union City, NJ 07087 - Google Maps
I bit of a long drive to Red Bank, but I can hang. Seems like a great deal to me...
Thoughts?

This guy has lived in the area for longer than I have been alive and he seems really excited about this place.
But I personally don't know the first thing about Union City....

Red bank is great for your age group but it is pricey. New Brunswick is a mixed bag re housing (there is a newer luxury highrise condo near the train station and occasionally the apartments become available for rent) and you will experience an eclectic lifestyle that many younger folks enjoy.

Thanks, Ms. Charlotte.
While this particularly place isn't quite my taste...I did find that a THIS is where all the decent listings for Red Bank properties are!
There is way more here than on Craigslist. It give me hope I might be able to live in Red Bank after all....
