Hey,

I had a driving permit which I held for 3 months before appearing for my road test yesterday. I passed the test and the officer just stamped my permit with a "silver sticker" and said I am good to go.

However, I didn't go to the DMV office to collect my license as I didn't have my address proof and It'll take me around 5 business days (min.) to get that.

My question is that on the DMV website, it says that the officer gives you a authorization slip and you have to take that to the DMV to get the license, but the officer didn't give me any piece of paper as an "authorization slip". What all she did was just stamped the permit. Is that stamp itself is termed as "authorization slip" or is there a different "piece of paper" that the officer hands over, once you clear your road test ?

I can't go to DMV as well, as I am out of state for some time and will be returning next weekend and this thing is worrying me a lot. Hence, I posted on the forum, if anyone knows about it and could shed some light on it? That'll be great.

Thanks so much!

I would assume the "stamp" was the authorization that you passed the test. Make sure you bring all the paperwork you need with you according to the "point" system.
