Default JSQ parking and driving from SH

Hi,
I am thinking of renting at Society Hills asap. Will appreciate quick info please.

How is it to drive to JSQ and park there? If i want to reach JSQ at 8am or so, what time do you think I need to leave Society Hills?

Also, is the A&C bus service reliable in am and pm and also are there long lines at that time for the bus? How much time does it take in the bus to reach JSQ around 8am and 9:15am?

Any other info would be most helpful.

Thanks

Hi goyalb:

Here are the answers to your questions:

The drive from SH to JSQ is approximately 10 minutes that if you leave your house around 7:00-7:30. There is plenty of parking lots by the JSQ area and I believe the prices are between $12-$15 for the day. If you want to be at JSQ at 8:00am I will suggest you to leave your house by 7:40 the latest.

I take the A & C buses every morning and they are reliable. I do somehow find the buses to be more reliable before 7:00AM. I work in downtown Manhattan and I need to be in the office by 8:00am. I leave my house around 6:45 and I make it to work around 7:50. The bus line from SH to JSQ are usually short but the line seems to be longer the other way around. I believe the last bus that leave from JSQ back to SH is around 10:00pm.

Hope this help.

As far as I know, the public school is not good in the zone. However, you may want to try charter school or private school in Jersey City. Learning Community Charter school has good reputation, but the admission is by lottery. I am not sure if they accept transfer student. Some Catholic schools also has good school system and fair tution than other private schools.
