Ugh. I was working outside during this time. My father had died and left me his gas station. I can recall a bulldozer coming into my lot to clear it and the snow was piled so high, we could climb up and touch the horizontal pole for the highway traffic light.

It was a nightmare.

I compare all snow storms to the Blizzard of '96 - Me, Mom, dad and goddaughter were stuck in the house for a couple of days. We went stir crazy and got fat. My mom baked her butt off (cinnamon rolls, cookies, cakes)...I took some really goofy pictures. My husband (who grew up in SC) always hears how no snowstorm was as bad as '96!
