They have got to be kidding me. I paid $235 for one of the tickets, and $205 for the other one. ticky tacky speeding tickets at that.

And now they are threatening to suspend my license if I dont pay them another $450. This is the letter i got (except mine is $450).

What are my rights here? I feel it is ridiculous to expect me to pay $890 because i got two speeding tickets in a state i dont even live in.

One of them was up by Syracuse so I did not think it was worth a 10 hour drive just to go to court.

so you figure speeding basically gives the government the right to take any amount of money from you possible?

its funny how they make up these ridiculous rules so that you get stuck paying additional fines. i got a ticket on rt 9 in sayreville and i got hit with a "safe corridor" bonus to my fine plus a "surcharge" because it was my first offense of this type. i paid 400 and change right there that night.

Its even more riduculous that speeders on highways are not the cause of accidents. Rather the slow ones driving in the fast lanes and the tailgaters are.

This is all a scam to raise money to pocket their corruption.
