Carteret area of Bloomfield
Trying to get some information.
I'm looking to purchase a home in Bloomfield New Jersey. I found one in the Carteret section of Bloomfield (Royalton). Can anyone tell me if this is a good, diverse area?

Are you talking about Royalton place off of Bloomfield Ave?
If so, that part of Bloomfield is pretty diverse. Lots of blacks, hispanics and whites. Not sure exactly what else you're looking for but it's a decent area and it has diversity.

Is it a nice neighborhood? I'm currently renting in the brookdale area. Unfortunately i can't find anything affordable because of the high taxes. I'm a little leary. |

It's definitely a diverse area, not really dangerous. I would be worried about car theft more than anything else. Hopefully the house you are looking at has a garage.

Thanks everyone. Yes it does have a garage. Very nice house...I'm waiting to here if my offer was accepted. But as it appears, the taxes are a little more reasonable in the fairview/carteret area of bloomfield. |
