Don't live anywhere near Winding Woods.

Also, check flood maps.

Very safe. Townlake is right off Main Street in town, residential area. Winding Woods apartments is on Bordentown Avenue which is a main thoroughfare and away from town itself, warehouse area.

My boyfriend's parents live in Sayreville now.
Its a cute little town. Not really any "bad" sections.

Yes, there was just a murder in the Winding Woods complex.... but from my knowledge of it, it was a domestic violence dispute gone horrible wrong. (not like they ever go right...)
Tragic yes, but not like Charles Manson resides in Sayreville.

LOL Sayreville bad? Not unless it has gone horribly wrong in the past few years. Bedroom community. Good schools. Nothing to worry about.
