They all sing "Free Credit Report.com", too, to make sure they haven't wrecked their credit with all their expenses of living in NJ, too.
(of course, I'm not siding with anyone here. Both places have things that suck, both have things that are amazing. One just outweighs the other for most people [like NJ's good outweighs the bad vs FL's bad outweighs the good for me])

Those guys don't have much in the way of expenses- they all live in their parents' basements until they're 50....lol

I think New Jersey is actually a great place to live, especially North Jersey. I don't think I would want to live anywhere else. I'm almost certain I want my kids to grow up here. We have great communities and great people! When I drive down the highway I don't like seeing woods, it makes me feel like I'm in the middle of nowhere. But in North Jersey, you can see houses on just about every stretch of highway (except maybe out in Sussex and Warren), it makes me feel like I'm still in civilization. There's always something going on and something to do in New Jersey. Though it has many flaws, I still love it!

South Beach is paradise and has been voted the #1 Beach for the tenth year now!
The whole coast on both sides is beautiful. Swamps? I don't think so!
Now where would one go to take beautiful photos in Jersey?
Newark? Paterson? Trenton? The Hudson River? The Passaic River? Where is the stunning photography to be had there?
Maybe Manhattan, that is it!
Oh! The Jersey Shore? Yuck!
I love Florida!
Jersey, again, is a great place to visit.
I do miss the diners, deli's and the Italian restaurants and also the Stage Deli in Manhattan!

Wow. I mean, if you like Florida, that's super, but in my opinion, Florida leans a little too far towards trashy for my tastes. Cheaper? Yes. But why is it cheaper? Because there are less people willing to pay to live there. Very simple.
How about the crime rates in Florida? Seriously...what's up with that?
I think you are generalizing NJ into one small area (northeastern NJ?). You mention photography. I can literally give you a list of 200 places to take photographs in NJ that beat the crap out of any photo taken in Florida. ANYWHERE in Florida.

I would like to see a list.
I love the coast and beaches and warm weather all year round. I love only having to put flip flops on everday and no heavy winter clothes! I love waking up to bright sunshine and stepping outside to the warm weather. No drearing rainy days like Jersey had this spring. What is not to like about this state? Yes it is hot, but your blood thins out an you adjust. Beats the rain and snow!
I love the breezes and only having to drive 15 minutes to a gorgeous beach. I do not have to pay to go on the beach or park my car. How ridiculous is that? You can drop a boat in any lake or ocean down here without a hassle or a charge.
I love the 7 months of open windows while Northerners are paying 300 and more a month to heat their homes only to be stuck inside in the freezing cold weather.
I love the drives along the coast, driving for 20+ miles right on the beach with my vehicle. Nothing beats that!
Tooooo many rules in Jersey!
I love paying 700 a year auto ins., versus the 1400 I was paying in Jersey.
I could go on and on!
Yes, there is crime in the inner cities. Who hangs out there? Do Jersey people hang out in the bad areas of Paterson or Newark?
I love Florida and all it has to offer! .
Most pro photo shoots are done down here by the way, why? It is paradise!

Okay, I'm happy that FL is good for YOU. It is not that way for everyone. I could go on to make a large list, that in my opinion, has negatives outweigh the positives by a long shot, because those are MY opinions, but I'm not here to play pot-meet-kettle and try to force my opinion down others throats. It's one thing to say why YOU love FL - awesome...but to trash NJ (or any place, for that matter) to prove your point is just ridiculous. Be happy for yourself, stop caring if people trash FL. YOU love it here. THAT is what matters. I gave up on fighting over why *I* love NJ, because, well, NJ makes ME happy, and guess what? That's all that matters in the end. I'm the one that hopes to live there one day, and I'm not forcing anyone to come along for the ride. Like it or leave it (or me, in the matter), because what matters in the end - when it all comes down to it - is keeping yourself happy, because without that, you'll wither away. An argument about why Florida is so much better than New Jersey and how New Jersey is just SO terrible, and Florida is so perfect (that it's so surprising the state isn't simply overflowing into the ocean with people that are just dying to live here), is simply a silly way to make a point.
As I say SO many times - good with bad, bad with good...that applies to any place.

What?? North Jersey? North Jersey is horrible compared to South Jersey! All those New Yorkers, the traffic, the crime!
Just kidding. I thought I'd get in on the bashing. REALLY I'm just kidding. I grew up in North Jersey. But seriously, there is lots of civilization elsewhere in the state

No no no no.
You can get away with many generalizations but comparing crime in FL to NJ makes you look a fool. I'm not talking inner city crap I'm talking middle class neighborhoods. NJ middle class neighborhoods just do not suffer with the same amount of quality of life crimes - vandalism, car break-ins, house burglaries, homeless sleeping out and begging that similar neighborhoods in FL find all too common. That is just a fact. I'm happy that you love FL so much but your posts would be easier to accept if you spoke the truth. Or even admitted to truth to yourself. But I think you do know deep down and that is why you feel the need to constantly bash NJ and confirm your choice to live in FL.

Oh god I think I'm going to have to copy and paste my response to this thread from another NJ bashing thread...but I'm too tired.
I guess my point is all these NJ hating threads are so old, overplayed, same issues, etc. And I've only been on these boards a couple weeks or so and have seen way too many of these threads.
