It was just all over CNN and HLN. There were 44 mayors and councilman arrested for money laundering and corruptness. They showed them all coming off the bus in handcuffs. Well, everyone knows about this going on in Jersey for years. Just took a long time to do something about it. All the corruptness in Jersey starts with the top government officials and goes right down to the bottom of the barrel!

So, everything's happening in Hudson County. Wouldn't it be less corruption in Hudson, then, with all these arrests...? At least, arrests are being made. It's been a very tough two weeks in that county starting with people being killed, and then, this. >.<

It'll just open seats for new corrupt politicians. Look at the Mayor of Hoboken- he's only been in office since July 1st, and he's already got his hand in the cookie jar- what makes you think it'll be any better with the next round of criminals?

I don't know what it will take for these politicians to ever learn. They see their peers getting busted all the time yet they still think they are above the law. The ego and sense of entitlement amazes me.

*shrugs* Now's a good time for Hobokians to start over, if they can. Try not to be too pessimistic and do a thorough background check for the next new mayor?

every single politician is corrupt by the public's standards and by the law. every politicians knows that their job is to collect money for themselves doing favors for others but fooling the general public into believing they are working on their behalf. thats politics.
