Default Maywood , NJ

I am looking at homes in Maywood and many people say above pleasant ave between there and the Bergen Mall is the better area. What is wrong with the area south of Passaic ave?

I think anything closer to the Paramus border is probably consider more desirable. The other section borders Hackensack which some may say they have some issues with. I lived in Lodi, the better part of a decade in the 90's (very close to both Hackensack AND Maywood) & Maywood is a great older town & I don't think there is anything "wrong" with the southern section of town. I think Maywood is a safe, adorable town that has kept itself that way. I could be wrong, anyone else may want to chime in here but I think it's a solid town.

It boarders Hackensack. It is such a small town though it really doesn't have much of a difference. My 1st home was in Maywood and we loved it there. It is a nice small town with lovely people. We really enjoyed getting to know the neighbors and never had any issues there.

Maywood is such a small town I can't imagine there could be much variation between neighborhoods.
