The Shore area, from Manasquan down. If I wasn't able to live here near the beach, I wouldn't live in New Jersey. I don't know if I'm considered "central" or "southern" but it's a great place to live!

I've lived all my life in Central Jersey. I hate the corruption, the high taxes, and the traffic. But...

I enjoy being close to NYC, the parks and recreation that are around in the area, Rutgers Sports (Anybody got a problem wit dat?), the diversity of shops and stores, if you look for them, and the fast pace.

For good measure, I also really like the Princeton area (and Mercer County in general, outside of Trenton). There are some very interesting places out by there that I enjoy exploring when I visit friends and relatives in the area. Some cool restaurants too. Route 1 is both the upside and downside - lots of stores and places to shop/eat, but extremely crowded.

It's Northern NJ for me. Northern NJ, especially in the nicer areas of Bergen County, has more of a New Englandy feel to me (except it's more crowded). South Jersey feels more like Maryland, and in some parts, even like the true South, like Florida. Central Jersey is somewhere in between. To me, once you start going south of the Driscoll Bridge on the Parkway, it starts to feel more "southern" to me.

TEN-A-FLY, DO OR DIE, BABY!!! (Actually, I grew up and currently live in Fair Lawn, but "Fair Lawn" just doesn't rhyme with DO OR DIE.)

Eastern Burlington County, the Pine Barrens, and the Delaware Valley region from Washington Crossing State Park up until just outside of Phillipsburg. For good measure, I'd also include the majority of Hunterdon County as well as the area surrounding Stokes State Forest. I also have a soft spot for rural Salem and Cumberland counties.

I like the southern shore the most - the beaches, boating, fishing, everything. There's nothing better than touring the lovely Victorian Cape May, raising a kite when the lifeguards leave, the view from the top of a Ferris Wheel once all of the lights have come on at night.

I love Monmouth County - Holmdel, Colts Neck, Red Bank, Spring Lake, Sea Girt, etc....

Great beaches, parks, towns, etc.
