Well there's your answer as to why he's so quiet! People become computer programmers because they generally don't want to be bothered with other people!

I think you're better off waiting for an opportunity to present itself naturally to you, rather than forcing the issue. I wouldn't head out early in the AM to try to cajole him into a conversation, but maybe one of these evenings, if you happen to be out and he comes out, say hello again. If he wants to talk, he will. Maybe he's wondering why you're so intent on getting him to converse!

By the way, what part of Ohio are you from? I grew up in North Canton, outside of Akron!

Maybe it's me but most of my neighbors I've had in Jersey have been more negative then positive. In other words, they seem to give us problems. I've had very few neighbors that I get along with and are cool my whole time here. I remember living in Irvington and most of my neighbors would give me a hard time. Some of them writing foul stuff about my mom and one of them was trying to pick a fight on us and came to the backyard threatening to beat me up and his mom cheering him on. I didn't do SQUAT to that kid. Some of my neighbors were friends when I was growing up but to hell with them, though. Maplewood is a different story though. My neighbors will say hi, talk a little bit and call it a day. But as of late, one of my neighbors has reminded me of one of the people from Irvington that I really used to despise because they were trying to be disrespectful for no reason. We don't mess with them so why would they decide to talk about one of my parents. For real, they lucky I was being easy that time because it would have turned into something really ugly quick. I would have gave them the ghetto ***** they keep on yapping about. Trying to go and hang around places I been to years ago. It's ridiculous.

im proud of you that you are at least willing to consider that its you that is the problem. next step is to really analyze your behavior and think of ways you can adjust it.

yah. when something continually happens to you, it's time to look inward.
