Towns within 40-min. commute to Mt. Laurel area.
I'm look looking to move to a city/town within 40 minutes of Mt. Laurel. I'd like somewhere with newer rentals (my budget is about $1200 max for a 1-bdrm), good shopping nearby, and diversity. Any ideas?

Mount Laurel! Why live any further away from where you work, if all you have requested for seems to be in the town where your place of employment is?

Mt. Laurel and Cherry Hill are on my list right now. But, I'd like be a little closer to North Jersey/metro. NYC and still be within 40-min. of Mt. Laurel, if possible.

In that case, I'd say around Hamiton Square.

Hi!! This is my first post in this forum!!
How about Bordentown City? You could hop on the Riverline to Trenton where you can catch NJ Transit to NYC, etc. You can hop on I-295 and be in Mt. Laurel in about a half hour... You could probably find something pretty decent for $1200, and it's one of those cute little towns with lots of shops and restaurants and street festivals. Lovely little town.

I'd rather live in Mt Laurel and have a very easy commute and travel slightly further to NYC when you want to go rather than long commutes every day.
From Mount Laurel you can hop on a greyhound bus and be in Midtown NYC in 90min....or drive 25min to the Hamilton station and catch NJ Transit.

Yeah, I'll probably end up doing that. Thank you all for your input!
