Irvington NJ
I am new to the Jersey area and have been offered to work at the Rite Aid in Irvington right on Springfield Ave near Clifton Ave. Is this a "bad area of town"?
The hours are 9-5, should I be worried about going there?

I have read the prior posts and everyone says its bad to live there, but if I'm there and its not going to be dark, and I'm only working there for a couple days, and I'm not living there and I'm only going to Rite Aid then getting the F out of Irvington - should I still turn down the offer of extra hours because it is too dangerous??

Just to let you know...the jury is still out on Irvington being worse than Newark but from my personal experience of getting lost in Irvington...I believe it is.
You can't find another Rite Aid that has open positions? There are plenty around...

I have to drive by there every day to get to work. It shouldn't be too bad but whatever you do, try not to hang around too late. The neighborhood is pretty bad, but it gets downright scary after dark.
