Question Looking for cool kid's restaurants....

Can anyone suggest some "cool" kids restaurants? I'm talking like The Rainforest Cafe or Mars 2112. Something interesting or different not Chilis or Fridays. Willing to travel around NJ and don't worry about the food quality, I expect it to suck.

Thanks....

The Circus Drive-In, Wall Township. 1950s drive-in (literally... the building was built in the '50s) and a wide-ranging menu. Very kid-friendly and can be combined with a trip to the beach in nearby Manasquan, Belmar, Spring Lake, etc.

C.B. Huntington's & Blackbeard's Cave, Bayville: Good food, adults can have a few beers if they choose. There's batting cages, bumper boats, water games, arcades, go-karts, mini golf and other things that I can't think of off the top of my head.

Its definitely not strictly a *kids* restaraunt, and it's in NYC, not NJ, but Jeykyll & Hyde's is soooo much fun! Its very interactive! Lots of *characters* and things on the wall that come to life....

Jekyll & Hyde Club

You're in N jersey but can you narrow that a bit? You've been to Rainforest and Mars? I'm just trying to get a feel for this.

jeckyll and hyde is a good suggestion, but may be scary for some younger kids.

i wonder if there's a kid friendly boat ride in the river? hmmmmm

if you're ever in disney do the sci-fi theatre. glad you don't care about the food because it's pretty bad. LOL

Thank you all for your suggestions...they are good.

Tahiti - I was looking for boat rides and I found a cool pirate boat ride out of Brick....but your kids are probably too old for that now.... Jersey Shore Pirates - Adventurous Pirate Cruises for Children. The NYC Duck tour looks fun... NYC Ducks but of course neither are restaurants.

I have never taken my kids to Disney. (Mean parent.)

Other people have also suggested Dave & Busters and Medieval Times.

How about Medieval Times?

American Girl in NY is fun. I love Jekyl and Hyde.

Rainforest Cafe is at Menlo Park mall, but I am sure you know about that.

I will try and think of others.

There is a pirate boat ride thing in Manasquan. It has a fun island with a treasure hunt. My daughter loved it.

not mean. we didn't go to disney until my kids were older (7-8), simply because i thought it would be a waste and I wanted them to remember it. and, confession time: i would've been miserable in disney with younger kids simply because i enjoy all the rides and would've been pissed if i had to forgo anything! LOL IIRC your kids are on the young side so I don't blame you.
