Default Possible job in Cherry Hill, where to live 30-35mins toward nyc?

My husband is considering a job opportunity in Cherry Hill. We are currently renting a home in Long Island (midIsland) and I am from North Jersey (Clifton). We want to make this move but are unsure of the area. We would not likely live in cherry hill since it is that much farther from my family in north jersey, friends and nyc. We have a 9 month old and want to take our time learning about an area to find the best schools etc. My husband is willing to drive up to 45 minutes to get to work in Cherry Hill so we are looking at towns up north that are an hour max away.

Looking for a nice town, an affordable area, not so high taxes, a nice downtown/shopping, diversity, good schools. What town matches this description that is 30-45 mins away from cherry hill going towards north jersey.

The Princeton area might be a good compromise. Not sure what your budget is, but you could start with Princeton itself, then maybe take a look at West Windsor, Robbinsville, Cranbury. Another option might be Hopewell/Pennington. All have very good schools and are very nice towns.

Hamilton / Robbinsville/ West Windsor is nice. Makes visiting NYC a lil quicker...and you can use 295 to commute to work in Cherry Hill.

Check towns in Mercer County towns around 295 south. You don't want to stray too far from 295 if you are going to Cherry Hill. The other point is, while I understand you have family in North Jersey, it is not that far from Cherry Hill - which has outstanding schools and a lot of vibrancy - much more so than Mercer County IMO. Moorestown is even a better location for going points going North in NJ. I was Hackensack yesterday and did the commute in 90 minutes on my way home - during rush hour.

Yes, I agree the ride is not bad.

I mean I think someone may be a little nutty to live in Cherry Hill and say commute to Bergen County 5 days a week. But to live in Cherry Hill and have family in Bergen County that you visit on the weekend is no biggie, I have done that ride many times for that reason.

I live in Mt. Laurel and my ex-lived in Robbinsville and I think Cherry Hill offers more to do than Mercer County IMO.

i would suggest hamilton or lawrenceville. they are both fairly diverse. less than an hr from cherry hill (or around an hour). some parts of mercer co you can find cheaper taxes, but you may be close to trenton (if that means anything to you).
