We just got married too so this is like a honeymoon to us.

We are staying at a hotel closer to the airport.

what i want to know is should we rent a car? We want to have easy access to the casinos.

Any help will be appreciated

It depends where you are staying. If you are staying in a boardwalk hotel / casino like Ballys, Trump, Trop, etc, you definitely will NOT need a car. Everything is walking distance.... even the Borgata is a very short cab ride away.

If you were staying off the boardwalk, you may want to consider renting one, especially since it will be Labor Day weekend and cabs will be more scarce. You will have a lot more freedom to come & go as you please at all hours that way.

Enjoy your trip!

Check google maps.

I know there is a trolley that goes around to all the casinos but not sure about hotels. I would look into it. I think it is called the Jitney?

Why would you come here? Atlantic city is a dump that is marketing itself on how good it use to be. Enjoy being locked on the boardwalk between a crappy beach in front and crack heads and prostitutes on the back and surround by crud dinky shops all around on the boardwalk. Don't expect to win much at the casino either, they are broke and loosing money fast so the payouts have been retooled.

Should of gone to vegas.

Is there a way you can change your hotel to one of the casinos? I know the area around Egg and the airport, and truthfully, there is very little to do there. It's inconvenient to say the least. Even if the argument is expenses, you can get much closer to AC by merely staying at a hotel on the White Horse Pike (Rt 30), around Absecon. That road is much less crowded and more accessible to AC than either the Expressway or the Black Horse Pike IMO.
