Default commute to Englewood Cliffs

hi All

wondering if anyone can direct me to some communties that have good schools and are within a 30 minute commute to Englewood Cliffs....would this be impossible? is there any public transportation that would work well to go there? Online, it looks like Ridgewood would be doable? Any thoughts? Any direction would be great...we have just begun our research
Also, I see a lot of talk of property taxes...we pay $15000 a year on a house valued around 450K!! (this is in upstate ny) So it is hard to imagine rates worse than that!! How would the taxes be on a 800K house in Ridgewood or a comparable town...thanks for all your help
Theresa

Taxes on an $800k house in Ridgewood would easily equal or exceed your current $15k. Of course, you'd be in a house valued at almost twice as much, but you're still paying an absurd amount of $$....

Anything in the northern valley regional district is good for schools and close to Englewood Cliffs. And tenafly is right next door to it. http://www2.nvnet.org/nvhs/

Also look at Cresskill.
