If I am unemployed and take a 2 month contract job, will I be able to resume my benefits once the contract is over?

Yes. There will not be any distribution in your continuing to obtain unemployment once your contract ends.

I believe you can do this. I would really check with the unemployment board before making the move, but it should be OK from what I remember.

Sorry, You can re-open the same claim from two months prior. A former co-worker of mine just went through the same thing. Once your assignment end, there is an option to re-open a previous claim. you will be fine.
