Question Florham Park Snow

Picked the town as a prospect on PWC internship application. Wondering what the snow is like there if any? I came across another site that said it didn't snow there at all (which I find hard to believe with New York getting so much).

What kind of a town is it? Wealthy? Small? Gangs?

Very wealthy, relative to most suburban areas of Houston even. No gangs, in fact, someone lifting a tank of lawnmower gas from a neighbor's shed would be a front page news story.

What I think the article about no snow meant is that compared to parts of the Northeast further north and west, it doesn't snow a lot, but from Houston you will definitely notice snow. But most years we get a few snowfalls that don't always stay on the ground (they might for a few days, but melt before the next snowfall). I don't think there's been a single winter without at least one "sticking" snowfall, but some years just a little falls and other years quite a bit does. But nothing on the level of the Great Lakes or Northern New England. I hope that helps.

Florham Park is a nice suburb. Leafy and green. Lots of trees. Some small hills around. It neighbors Morristown and Madison which are nice towns with quaint little downtown districts. Florham Park itself has no "downtown" really, it's mostly residential subdivisions and a couple of small shopping centers. Florham Park and surrounding towns are in a generally affluent area. While there's no train station in Florham Park, there are nearby stations on the Morris & Essex Line, so you can take weekend trips to NYC by train. Overall, I'd say it's a very nice place to live, especially for families who enjoy a suburban lifestyle. If you're younger and single and want more action I'd recommend living in Morristown.

The snow issue, well I think the others said it. It snows. It melts away. We'll get a few inches at a time, rarely more. In the northeast, a few inches of snow isn't a big deal. The roads are kept clear (but still be careful), businesses stay open, etc. When I lived in the South, an inch of snow shut everything down. That doesn't happen in NJ. Rarely, we'll get one of those nor'easters off the coast, which will dump 1 or 2 feet of snow in a day or two. I think the last time that happened was in 2005(?).

Lammius:

You might want to change your status of "Go Go Go RU". I think the way they played last week, the Richmond Spiders would have beaten them by 2 scores. An absolute disgrace, and I saw it coming as I took Cincy with the points last week.
