Any advatages or disadvantages to either Ocean or Oceanport?

Kimberly Woods in Oceanport. Would be first choice. Although the waterfront THs on Bridgewater are nice they are next to railroad tracks.

Are you looking at Cotswold, Provident and/or The Manor in Ocean? The traffic on Polar and W. Park Ave would kill me. My doctor is on W Park and the traffic is the worse part of the visit.
There is also a smallish development off Deal Rd. Friends of mine loved it there but I think it has no scenery and it's off busy Deal Rd.

I wouldnt know which would have better resale value but I prefer Oceanport as a town.

Disclaimer: I lived (and went to school) in Ocean Twp for 17 yrs.

Personally, I like Oceanport better. It would depend on where you were looking in Ocean Twp. though. There are some areas that more desirable.

Thanks, yes we are going to look at some TH's at the Manor and Cotswold

Is the traffic that bad?

I have been in te area twice, once during the week, and once on a weekend...and did not notice any traffic issues. By your comments, I'm guessing it's pretty bad during the AM and PM rushhour.

Appreciate any additional info.

Yes, particularly the rush hours since they are between Rt 18 and 35. Also, there are about 4 large lower income apartment complexes around the corner. They add to local traffic. Cotswold is older but doesnt have that community charm that The Manor appears to have. I guess that's subjective.
Ocean Twp built a new library a few years ago and the schools are better than average. Much of the town east of Rt 35 is Jewish and so have built several Yeshivas for their children.
