I'd stay away from Camden County overall because most of it is a dump and the parts that aren't (CH, Haddonfield) are through the roof expensive. Pine Hill and Deptford I am less familiar with, my uncles live in those towns. Pine Hill looks OK from what I've seen of it, supposed to have a very private golf course. I've been to Deptford Mall as well, which reminds me of what Echelon Mall in Voorhees used to be like. Not a mall person, but I used to go there sometimes with my now ex-girlfriend who was enrolled at Rowan University in Glassboro. Glassboro is Gloucester County, not too far away from Deptford, but appears to be a mix of white trash and ghetto, not the safest place to be, definitely not what you want if you want "class", there was a murder at Rowan a few years ago, a student there had gotten into a fight with local gangs and had a heart condition, never recovered. My ex's grandmother lived in Turnersville/Washington, which appears more white collar than its surroundings but I never got the idea that it was anything special. Check it out, you have some shopping along Rt 42 including a good bagel place there called Einstein Bagels if memory serves. You also have Super Walmarts which are sorta unique to that area as well. There are also some quieter up-and-coming McMansion-laid areas like Mullica Hill which I'm not too familiar with, but that you can see is off 322 going opposite direction of Rowan. If you're not too picky about the location, I'd also check out southern Burlington County. You get what you pay for and the schools are pretty good from what I've heard. Mt. Laurel I think has the lowest taxes because it's an industrial town and has the most "affordable" housing, not sure what type of people live in those though. My aunt and uncle rented an apartment in Ramblewood 1981-83 said it was nice then, don't know about it now. Maple Shade is cute, it's a blue-collar town and borders Pennsauken, but it's safe, has a bit of a downtown, I've been to that Wawa on North Forklanding Rd a handfull of times. It all depends on what you want. From what I've heard you get more for your dollar in Evesham than anywhere else, that area is very safe, a little on the old side, you have the old downtown Marlton area off 73 and 70, although they are starting to eliminate that circle now so there has to be lots of construction going on there which will hold up traffic no doubt. I've heard they are going to put up an overpass there which I can't imagine what it will look like but we will see I guess. Not to familiar with what's along Rt 130 (Cinnaminson, Delran etc), but I have a cousin who lived in Palmyra at one point and ended up moving because the area was getting bad. Judging by its location near the bad parts of Pennsauken it's not hard to see why. Hope that helps.
Well, take this post with a grain of salt. Camden County is most certainly not a dump.

First, I have lived in GC all my life in Logan Township.

To your question- It depends how much "property" you need to store your stuff.

Paulsboro - You would fit right in, as the town is a dump and I doubt they would care about trucks parked around the house. You get alot of house for the money, but not much land.. check the lot size of the houses listed there.
Glassboro - Its a college town, with small houses on small plots.

Not on your list
Westville- Slightly north of Paulsboro. Its located across the river from Philadelphia and south of Camdem. Its quiet but run down.
Penns Grove- Like Paulsboro, this town is not classy, and people would not mind a few trucks on the lawn. Both towns are peaceful, but not clean (run down and drugs).
Salem City- Stay away... far far away.

I would recommend:
Pennsville- I think this might be you best bet. Very conviently located to the bridge. Its "classier" and much cleaner than Paulsboro. Although, I hear it red-neckish down there.
Pedricktown- It's a very small town surrounded by farm land. You can get a very nice sized home with plenty of land. Pricier than Paulsboro. I like this town.
Woodstown- A farming town. The town is very nice, and I think your work-man lifestyle would fit right in.

"One of the few that hates it?"
"On the classy side?"
New York stereotype?

It would be really hard to answer on real world terms with this as your background info. There is nothing like Brooklyn in that area of course.

WOW! Thank you ALL for the information and in depth info on a bunch of those towns. And thank you for the suggestions of the other towns by those as well.

It seems like my search starts again!

By the way, does anyone know anything about Williamstown. Its about 30 minutes more south then i really want to live because i do not have a lot of work right their but I keep hearing good things about it? Any one have some info on this.

Oh by the way, i forgot to mention that the two f-250 pickup trucks and 2 small 10 foot horse trailer i have, i use them to transport cargo to and from buildings so I am not using them for horses. I am however a big fan of the "country scene" less the rednecks.. I do not have a problem with "simple folks" though, but I do want to stay away from The Red Necks or the trailer folks... though i grew up in Brooklyn NY (i did not grow up in the areas that you hear about on TV.. I grew up in the last good clean safe portion of the city), I always loved areas like Scotch Plains and near about in Central Jersey because they were so beautiful and farmlike and the folks were very friendly (but a bit bible thumping as well which i didnt real care for but its a small trade off). I really am looking to be around friendly folk b/c I have a "southern style personality" myself. Any additional info is, as always appreciated! Thanks. Justin

PSS. Whats the deal with the Pine Barrens? I am a bit confused here? Thanks!
