Default private/catholic (girls/co-ed) schools in Essex County

Anyone have experience/knowledge of private/catholic schools in Essex County (around south/west orange ) ? Looking for options where tuition is no more than the ballpark of 1k/month.

I went to Mt. St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell, NJ and I can't say enough good things about it. It is an all girls' school. More info at: Mount Saint Dominic Academy
I attended from 1994 - 1998 and it was 4 of the best years of my life. I got a great education that made college a breeze, and I am still close with the friends I made there.
Let me know if you have any specific questions!

Thank you, this is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.

What are some of the elementary / junior high schools that feed into this school ?

Any in either the Catholic Archdiocese of Newark or Paterson.
I went to St. Peters in Parsippany.
There is also Lady of the Lake in Verona, St. Rose of Lima in East Hanover, etc.
There are a ton more here:
Archdiocese of Newark - Essex County Elementary Schools

For K-8 there is Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange. From there the girls used to go to Marylawn of the Oranges on Scotland Road and the boys to Seton Hall Prep.

I lived around the corner from OLS so I had a lot of friends from there. It was a long time ago so I couldn't tell you anything about any of the schools now but they are all still there.

There's also St. Rose of Lima, k-8, in Short Hills.

OLS is good, too.

My lil sis went to Our Lady of Lakes then Mt. St. Dominic. I think the tuition was a little more than 1K. She seem to have liked going to private schools but then again she has nothing to compare it to

Highly doubtful she is much younger than you. Class of 2005. Allthough I may know one or two that went to MSD durring your time, maybe a few years older though. There is a 12 year gap between me and my sis.

Thinking of getting a place in West Orange (Gregory section), so the smart money would be on St Dominic over WO high.

At first I was looking in S.Orange, but looks like you get more house for your money in W.Orange.

Where did she end up going after she graduated ?
