I did not receive a letter today, I run out of EB on 11/14. There is no mail tomorrow. But I live out in the country in Warren County.
I believe the problem with the six additional weeks was reported earlier here in an article from Orange County, California and on the CA website, not in NJ. Each state has unique issues and handles this situation differently. Although the six weeks is identified as a separate tier which is a technical issue, I would trust what the NELP says relating to the grandfather clause as the two tiers were enacted on the same bill. I wouldn't worry about that. But I wish I had my letter today.

This is what Michigan is saying for now.....
http://www.michigan.gov/documents/ui...9_300228_7.pdf
Here unemployed workers will find information about two new Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) extensions passed by Congress and signed by President Obama on Nov. 6, 2009.

Can you add anything more specific about where you are in unemployment that might help to better answer your situation?

Is Unemployment Benefits Taxable? I remember the President saying that the $50 stimulus was not taxable. Do we now still pay taxes on regular UI benefits?

Cuttin it close there wily I would tell you to call UI your close enough to the deadline that I don't dare tell you yes. I would tell you to call anyways regardless of my opinion on the matter.
That goes for you and anyone else asking a similar question.
Sorry I could not e more accurate for you.
