Well I created this new forum hoping to get the crowd back and talking again. I heard that today at 2 PM the house is discussing Unemployment extensions and that can be viewed on CSPAN. Look forward to seeing everyone here again. The other forum closed so talk to you all soon. Again keep fingers and toes crossed lol and pray today.
This question is for anyone that can possibly answer it. Assuming that the House passes this bill what is the process for this bill to make it to the senate and how long could take to get there?
mcdermot, davis, levin, Davis and hoyert spoke very well its hard to ignore and avoid the facts. This recession is not over and recovery is something that is not in at least my mind the near fore seen future. Suspending and passing this bill will keep our economy from really getting much worse. It's also ashame that President Obama is going to be the one to bear the brunt of all of this beings that he came into office at such a bad time. Talking to my mother the other day she told me of when she was a child and her grandfather saying to her " One day there will be no middle class, it will be the wealthy and poor no inbetween." For a child of not even 10 to remember that now and watch it happening is ashame. This bill not adding to the deficit is something that I wasn't aware of and hopefully will make it easier to pass the bill. Not sure how I feel about the Georgia works program. Would like to learn more about it and if its something our state would be willing to adopt. There is alot of support for this bill which there should be. I personally liked Rep. Danny Davis' quotes today, " Get a job." Verdict is the bill is postponed? what does that mean ?
