Default Looking to rent a managed townhouse/condo/apartment in Union or Middlesex County

Can anyone offer suggestions to a good complex in Union or Middlesex County? I have been looking on my own for the last couple of days. My current landlord is selling the property and I really want to move by November or December. I am looking for a place that has a washer/dryer in the unit, allows two small dogs, dishwasher, offers central air, has either assigned parking or a garage, cable ready and most important is quiet and with other professional people. I don't want to worry about breakins or passing by some drug deal when I leave and come home to/from work.

I found one place in Springfield that I liked called Short Hills Village. It's a bit pricey but I wanted to find out if that was because all utilities were included in the rent. The reviews were phenomenal. But I didn't want to waste my time if utilities were not included.

My price range is gonna be $1350-$1500. If utilities are included, then I can go as high as $1700, but that's about it.

I pretty much had it with private landlords. I realized that my credit is too good to be bothering with them.

Towns in Union County I am looking at are Union, Summit, Springfield, Westfield, Cranford, Garwood, Clark (maybe Linden and Rahway, but then it would have to be gated or something...lol). Middlesex is pretty much Old Bridge, South Amboy, Sayreville, Woodbridge, and maybeeeee Carteret. Anything with Brunswick in it is too far south for me. In fact, Old Bridge is about as south as I'm willing to go.

Thank you for any responses. Apartment looking is getting frustrating. I am really trying to avoid the private slumlord. I definitely want to avoid a bad management company as well.
