Blue ribbon accreditation, high standardized testing scores, excellent teachers.

As for the second part of your statement, you're using anecdotal evidence. In response: East Brunswick is also chock-full of snobs who would rather send their kids to private school to "maintain appearances".

One of East Brunswick's biggest faults is that it's basically Marlboro Lite. Pardon the pun.

And there shouldn't be a public school that is geared towards one ethnic portion of the population. Whatever people think of charter schools, this one clearly goes over the line. Is a Christian or Muslim or Hindu child really going to be able to go here and feel comfortable? And how they sold it with that global economy line is unbelievable.

The NJ Department of Education opened up a real can of worms here.

the school district has eliminated their elementary world language program because of lack of funds. However they still have to pay for the charter school, no matter what the school budget is!! So, 3000 children are being deprived of language education so that 70 children can get an immersion language where is there is not even a choice. the most useful languages in future are going to be Arabic, Hindi and Mandarin. I wonder what those 50,000 residents of East Brunswick are doing, allowing such a school to be opened at their expense.....

I would love to hear the comments had this school not been allowed. Hmm I wonder what they would be? I think this is a disgrace but honestly what do you expect from Christie and the former commish Schundler? Check out his charter school's track record.
