best places to live in NJ
Hi. I am looking in new jersey, i originally wanted to live in larchmont or rye brook in NY but my husband's job may be in NJ so i am starting to look there too.
i was told that summit and westfield are good matches for us, but i am wondering if someone could tell me:
good, upscale towns, 30 minutes from newark.
schools are not an issue as we dont have kids, looking for same feel i would get in larchmont or rye brook. please let me know if you can help me!
thanks a lot

Summit, Livingston, Florham Park and Whippany. There's some nice areas off 24/78. Berkeley Heights is one. If he doesn't mind a few extra minutes drive you could look into Randolph and that area.

Montclair is super close to Newark and has some gorgeous older homes (larchmont--tudors) homes plus a bustling downtown. I would def. check that out.
Englewood cliffs is kind of similar, but east of Newark very close to GW bridge.

Hackensack and RP are nice, but for 10K a month you can probably find something nicer.
Summit and Westfield are good matches.
Tenafly is nice too, different area, close to the city.

I've heard that Englewood Cliffs has some very nice shopping. It's a pretty wealthy community.
