I have about 4 garbage bags full of gently used baby clothes, boy AND girl, age newborn - 24 months.

I tried donating them to St. Clare's Bargain Basement on Pocono Road in Denville, and was shocked that the donation was refused, because they had "too many kids clothes. They are just not moving." (Are people in the community really not taking advantages of resources in the community like this during such strained economic times....? Amazing.)

Anyway, the volunteer there suggested Kids Swap in Rockaway (http://www.kidswap.com) , but that is a Consignment Shop. I am really not looking to make money on these... nor have to set up any account like it looks like is required, not to mention I have way more than the 30 piece donation limit.

Any other ideas where to donate these clothes? Surely there are some shelters or havens or something....?

How about the Salvation Army? You can get a receipt and get a tax dedcution for your donation. There is a drop off in Dover that I know of and probably others in Morris County.

Try this website, they may not take the donations themselves but may know of organizations that do:

Morris County NJ Human Services (http://www.morrishumanservices.org/hs/ota.asp - broken link)
