Default moving to NJ/secaucus

Hello!

I have lived in all of the places you mentioned so your question struck me. I lived in Hoboken for 3 years and was priced out of the area--rents are insane now. Parking is a pain too--it cost $150 (3 yrs ago) to park each month. So we moved north to West New York. OK area but I found the apartments we saw (and lived in) small. Parking was as bad as when I lived in Manhattan! You need a permit and spots are in short supply--lots of buildings and few public parking places. The municipal lots fill up quickly. If you ever get home late forget it. So last year, we moved to Secaucus to a new complex called the eXchange. It is heaven compared to Hoboken or West New York! Laundry and dishwasher in the apartment and parking included in the rent. It is in walking distance to the Secaucus train station for easily accessible to NY and Hoboken (1 stop). As for schools--there are a lot of kids in the complex and the parents seem pretty satisfied. You can't beat any of the places you mentioned for proximity to all kinds of shopping and the city but I have been happiest in Secaucus. Congrats on your husbands job offer. That is a precious thing these days. Good luck in your move.
