Default Please tell me about East Brunswick

Hubby and I are seriously considering leaving the LI area and heading to NJ. 2 couples we know live in EB and rave about it. I need more than 2 people to convince me oh and tell me the good and bad, I need to know as much as possible

Thanks !!!

I live in EB and love it! The reason I love it is because of the amenities, people, stores and location. EB has a great library, a skate park, water park, various other parks, excellent Blue Ribbon Schools, recycle center, 2 synagogues, a mosque, and various churches. You can get to Newark Airport in 30 min, NYC in 50 min (these are non rush hour times) and there is a great variety of shopping and restaurants along Rt 18. The Brunswick Square Mall is not the greatest but 20 min north is Menlo Park Mall and 25 min south is Freehold Raceway Mall which are both excellent.

The negatives of EB are that the taxes are high, most people will say Rt 18 traffic is a nightmare (although there are a million ways to avoid 18), and where I live the roads could use paving and the township will not come out because we are not on "the list". You should drive around for the day though and see what areas you like and how you feel in the town. Good luck!

We wanted to move to East Brunswick sooo badly!!!
Had a couple failed contracts and ended up just buying a place in North Brunswick instead.
EB is great though ~ you will love it!

In East Brunswick, the taxes are worth it. Best schools in the 732.

That is funny. Well being in the same situation you were in, lived in Long Island for 3 years and then moved into East Brunswick, I can tell you just about anything you might need to know, even in terms of comparisons. If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate.

I have never hear of RFH... seriously. Stumped.
But agreed, you can't beat East Brunswick schools!
