Great Real Estate News Mt. Laurel
My mother has finally retired and is joining me in Florida. She has lived in her house for about 30 years and was dreading the hassles of showing the house, concerned about how long it would take to sell, all the normal things that weigh on your mind when selling.
She contracted with a realtor last week and asked for 2 weeks to get the house showable before prospective buyers were brought in. Four days later the listing agent called to tell her that a family had driven by the house 10 times that day and really wanted to see the house. My mother agreed-- and two hours later had an offer of $5K less than her asking price (almost $400K)!
The buyers plan to update the kitchen and baths and told the agent that the house does not need to be cleaned impeccably since there will be a lot of updating taking place and they have scheduled closing for late june.
Just thought I'd share some good real estate news!
