Default South Jersey trick-or-treat

My favorite place is Elmer, close to vineland/glassboro area. Elmer is a small town, but all the houses are very close together. But Main St. is beautiful for halloween t-or-t'ing. Every year it's packed, there's always one police officer watching over the festivities, and the people are just so nice. It's great because you can cover a lot of houses in the time that they let you trick or treat. I think it's usually about 4-6 hours. Also, if you don't want to be out all night driving from house to house this is perfect, because it's just a simple walk around the neighborhood, and you've got yourself a bag full of candy.

I think Hackensack is a great place during Halloween because they have a famous street (Clinton Place) that puts decorations galore for Halloween, each house with a different theme. TONS of people go on that street during Halloween from all over.

And River Edge because I was there last year visiting family, and I never seen so many "trick "o" treaters".
thanks for posting this! We went the other night after seeing your post and it was pretty amazing. Not all the houses had thier decorations up yet so we'll probably go one more time to see it in full swing.

On a side note, the Willy Wonka house is up for sale right now. And being the curious person that I am I went home and checked it out on NJMLS, NICE DIGS!!! (I think it's listed around 900K, if anyone else wants to be nosey)
