Default New to NJ, please help!

Hi, My husband and I will come NJ in Dec. He will be working at Jersey city area. We are looking for some place relatively quite and safe, not too expensive to live in. One hour commute is acceptable. We want a 2-bed townhouse or apt and $2000 per month is our upper limit. Any suggestions where we should be looking into? Thanks a lot!

I'd Suggest Edgewater in Bergen County.
It's right on the Hudson River across from Harlem very close to the George Washington Bridge. You'd find plenty in your price range.
The town has a great school system, low crime, and a decent commute to Jersey City.

N. Arlington would be a good choice.

2 other good choices are Lyndhurst and Nutley. Lyndhurst has the advantage because NJ Transit trains, but the other 2 towns have easy commutes too via bus.

BROCKEN IN N.J. is on a distinguished road
Medford Burlington county has won top 10 nicest places to live in the us many times, Tabernacle is even quieter. Somerdale Camden County is more congested but has great accessibility and is very cheap to live in, Deptford is in Gloucester County but is a little more spendy. My person favorite is Tabernacle or Medford Lakes. Probably the most money but no low income housing will ever be built their. The schools are top notch and you have plenty of good moralled people to make friends with.
