Singles near Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken.
Hey ya'll. I'm originally from Texas and have now relocated to work in Manhattan. It seems quite hyped up here. Can anyone recommend ways to meet singles, whether its events or online? I appreciate it.

Hoboken is filled with tons og 20 - 30 somethings. They have have lot of ways to meet people.
Are you into sports. Zog Sports has a bunch of different sports teams that are a lot of fun and a great way to meet people. They have flag football, soccer, dodge ball and some other sports.

LOL... I'm way too competitive to meet women playing sports... especially one as dangerous as dodge ball! My only chance would be her forgiving me after I ran to get an icepack for her head
I still remember high school dodge ball... 3 rules... 1) don't hit the teacher, 2) don't hit anyone in the back, 3) don't hit anyone in the head... I hit the teacher in the back of the head
Sorry OP, no help with singles... tons of single people in Hoboken on the weekends up and down Washington.

The sports leagues in Hoboken should be a great way to meet people. Honestly, other than that, just go to happy hours at any bar in Hoboken.

In Hoboken, get a dog. There are several dog runs and a dog association.
There are also active political groups if you're interested. E.g., the Republican group has debate-watching parties in local bars.
I can't see any sign of a singles scene in upper Weehawken - unless maybe the Park Ave Bar & Grill (technically Union City). Park Avenue Bar and Grill - Union City, NJ I don't know about lower Weehawken, along the waterfront, but there are a lot of young careerists and stores and restaurants down there. Maybe on the ferry, if you don't like bars.

Trivia at Willie McBride's every Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m.
Its FREE to play and players get a chance to win gift certificates (good for any purchase at Willie McBride's).
My trivia nights tend to consist of general questions that are aimed at having fun and not being intentionally difficult.
The categories include Entertainment (T.V., Movies, Music, etc), Geography, History, Sports (tends to be more current), Science, and Current Events
Formats include "True or False", multiple choice, "Name that Movie" (We play an audio clip of a movie), "Who's the Artist" (I play a song), multi-part questions, and straight one answer questions
There are beer specials, including $2 Bud Light draft .
Willie McBride's - 616 Grand St. (right behind the A&P)

Well for starters, you're in the right spot, Hoboken, and you have easy access to NYC and Jersey city as well.
I could help you look further, what are your interests, what is your style, maybe I can give you recommendations from there. Don't forget to access all the amenities NYC has to offer, music, shows, etc.
Or of course I'm mid 20s, charming, and in Union City/ "West hoboken" looking to meet locals and make new friends as well.
