Hi all. Trying to furnish home office with a vintage, refurbished steelcase (or similar) desk. Any ideas where to look in NJ? Did some searches, but not finding any local dealers.

Assume you have searched online and that the following dealers on NJ did not have what you are seeking?
Other alternatives might simply be to check with Salvation Army and other local thrift stores -- they can give you leads on who accepts donated office furniture.

Here's one that looks like it requires a little "elbow work" but the price might be negotiable- been for sale since August.

One more idea -- have you tried kijiji.com? That is the classified ad section of ebay.

I bet there is somebody somewhere that is trying to get rid of one, just a matter of finding them. I picked up some desks when a radio station was moving a while back, all free.
