Default Right of Entry

My landlord's realtor, who handled the singing of the lease, told me when I rented the apartment that my landlord was looking to sell the building. I asked to be given 24 hours notice before they decided to show the apartment at that time and they agreed.

Last week, I had no heat. I called my landlord on Monday and didn't get a response until Thursday because he was up in the mountains with no reception. He tells me I waited until Thursday, which is untrue, but the long and short of it is that he called me a liar multiple times.

I am not allowed to have a pet. I am catsitting without permission, which I have no issue admitting I'm wrong in doing. I am getting rid of the cat within the next 48 hours, but the landlord came to find out about him by entering my apartment without my permission on Saturday.

Today, my landlord took it upon himself to show my mess of an apartment to a prospective buyer without my knowledge. He entered my apartment without my permission and when it was a mess, he called me and blamed me for the prospective buyer changing his mind. I attempted to explain that had I been given notice, the apartment would be clean. He would not allow me to speak, for the most part, and told me I knew he was selling the building and that he doesn't have to give me the 24 hours notice and to call a lawyer. He belittled me and accused me of being dishonest and "not caring" about what the lease said. He made me feel like a horrible person and would not allow me to hang up the phone after several attempts. I was with a coworker.

I'd like to break my lease. I don't know what else to do.

Any thoughts?

So how did the lawyer "not allow you to hang up"? Did he hold your arm, glue the phone to your hand? If he was being abusive, you hang up the phone.
