Biden calls Corzine 'smart, honest' at NJ rally
Excuse me. What is Biden smoking?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EDISON, N.J. (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden says Gov. Jon Corzine is just the type of leader New Jersey needs for the next four years.
Biden told a crowd of several hundred at Middlesex County College in Edison that New Jersey and the nation need "smart, honest, serious politicians who get it."
Good for Biden. I'm glad I voted for him, too.
you can tell the democrats really want Corzine to stay governor and are throwing everything they got at it.
Should be an interesting election, especially with a fairly strong 3rd party candidate.
***MAKE SURE YOU VOTE ***
Personally, I'm voting for Daggett... But I think it's natural and it's good for the Democrats to help each other. Bush had good things to say about Whitman, and, unlike Biden, Bush really WAS known for smoking (and snorting) drugs...
Why would ANYONE care what Biden has to say? I'd rather not have Biden's endorsement.
Of course Gov Corzine is smart. You don't get to be Chaiman of Goldman Sachs and Gov of a state by being otherwise.
As far as being honest and the best thing for NJ, that's certainly debatable.
He's the best thing that urban political machines and public workers unions could ask for.
Well, Corzine is smart. And I don't think he's really ever lied. The problem is that all of the things he's said he was going to do.. he's done.. and it's resulted in a disaster for this state. And his current plans call for more of the same. He has absolutely no interest in making this state more affordable for middle income families, and he's been quite honest in saying so. He's appealing to the urban Democrat base in North Jersey and he has not been secret about that.
Anyone who does not live in a Democrat-controlled urban municipality gets no benefit from voting for this man, unless they are a teacher or unionized state employee. If he's re-elected, get ready for the public pension/insurance crisis to get worse, property taxes to continue their upward trend, the gas tax to be increased, tolls and other state fees to be increased, state aid continued to be unfairly distributed and possibly more items covered under sales taxes. And most of that revenue will be redistributed to the areas controlled by the North Jersey urban Democrat machine.
